Hilarion's "Cathedral of Virtue"

This was my first attempt at designing a building in UOX.  It was not made to be a player owned structure, thus the permanent decorations.  Rather it is my fanciful representation of what such a structure might look like if UO had a "church" type building such as those found in the Ultima single player games.

Ground Level

The ground level of the Cathedral contains the "Path of Virtue" which dominates the center aisle of the sanctum with a series of the eight virtue symbols leading from Compassion to Spirituality.  Along either side of the aisle are eight rows of pews, bathed in the bright glow of several candelabra.  At the front of the room lies a marble carpeted dais, upon which sits a large golden ankh.

2nd Floor

The 2nd level of the Cathedral contains a sizable library of ancient knowledge, with several workstations that may be used for solitary study or as a classroom for the process of group learning.  The main room consists of an carpeted open area, suitable for quiet conversations between tasks.   A hefty tome of some ancient lore or perhaps a religious text sits atop a brightly lit marble table on western side of the room.  Off of the northern side of the room there is a cozy ante-chamber, where the devote could quietly meditate or contemplate spiritual matters.

Roof & Bell Tower

The 3rd floor of the Cathedral constitutes a flat gray slate roof with a small "bell tower" at the farthest northern section.   I have placed a guildstone within, just seemed like a good spot for one since there are no "bells" in UO.  This section of the Cathedral is not accessible by conventional means and may only be reached by uttering words of devotion and honor at the golden ankh located on the ground level.

The roof of the "bell tower" is inaccessible to the peoples of Britannia and has but one feature, a gray ankh thrust upward toward the sky so that all wanderers can see it from afar and may find their way to the Virtues of Lord British.
